The Blessed Sacrament community is committed to celebrating and encouraging our college students while they are away from home. In order to do this, we send out several care packages throughout the school year. We are fortunate to be able to include a note from both Father Mark and Blessed Sacrament School in each box. Every mailing is themed to the time of year our students will receive them to bring a little frivolity and humor to their day. The goal of this ministry is to remind our college students that they are not alone and that they are missed when away from our parish family.
The boxes include, among other things, both sweet and salty treats. Due to potential allergies, etc., we don't accept any food donations. Parishioners can support this ministry by welcoming our college students back when they return and praying for them while they're at school.
Active Duty Military Care Packages
Our active-duty military outreach program has been created to maintain a connection with our community members who serve in the military. Throughout the year, boxes are mailed out to them. Each mailing is an opportunity to show that they have our support and thanks for all that they do. Every box includes a taste of home as well as other items to let them know that they are remembered and prayed for by our Blessed Sacrament community.
We usually include sweet treats, salty treats, and other assorted items that meet the rules for overseas mailing. Due to mailing requirements and potential allergies, etc., we don't accept any food donations. Please offer prayers for our Blessed Sacrament active duty military members, as well as all of those serving our country throughout the world.
