Confirmation

Blessed Sacrament's Confirmation preparation is modeled on the Guidelines for Confirmation, developed by the Diocese of Madison. It includes seven Sunday-morning sessions (following 8:00 AM Mass) that integrate doctrine, spiritual formation, and liturgical celebrations into a comprehensive process. Preparation also includes a retreat just before Confirmation and participation in at least two group service activities during the year, with options provided throughout the program.

With an adult spiritual mentor, called a sponsor, young people will be able to recognize and understand the presence of the Holy Spirit in themselves and others and identify themselves as active members of the Christian community—the Church.

Confirmandi are also asked to remain engaged in continuous faith formation throughout the year — through a school religious education program (at Blessed Sacrament School or another Catholic school) or a parish youth ministry program such as our Boys' and Girls' Groups.

Our Confirmation preparation program is open to all youth, including the unbaptized and those who have not yet received their first Holy Communion. Please register using the form below.
